USB Cable Link for two PC's

Hi,
I have two PC's to hook up to my USB Cable Link Hardware, but I only
have one monitor. Ah, there's the rub!

When I turn my APS on, (into which both PC's are connected), both boot
up, but only one of them automatically becomes the dominant PC. If I
were to turn that one OFF, using the case button, and NOT via TURN OFF
COMPUTER, the other one would not show on the monitor at all, despite
the fact that it has been booted at the same time and left on.

How then can I posssibly see that monitor's data on the Cable Link
Software's Main Page. I only see the data on the one that became the
dominant.

Is my brain leaking, or is there a hardware part that I'm missing.
Would switching from one PC to another via a VGA switch solve the
problem? Doesn't seem logical, but then, that's why I'm here! Don't
want to invest until I'm sure. Would really appreciate some help!

ThanX!
