USB blocked after iPod installation

XP Professional
-used different USB storage devices before installing iPod for Windows
software
-now no storage device can be connetcted and XP crashes down (bloked) when
connected
-can not permanently remove etries in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Enum\USB\...
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Enum\USBSTOR\...

how this can be done?

any other suggestions?

I'd contact them... Sheesh, if Microsoft behaved like that the world would
be in an uproar.
