It isn't worth the hassle. Get a ethernet print server box
and connect the printer to it, or print to file or PDF and send it via LAN
to a USB capable machine.

Hi,

Thanks for all replies.

After installing the R62200.EXE program (downloaded
from the Internet) I am able to use a pendrive connected
to a USB port under the WinNT 4.0.

At the moment I am loooking for a driver for the printer.
On the CD delivered with the printer there isn't any
driver for WinNT. On the CD there is the setup.exe
program but it can't be installed under the WinNT.

The printer is Canon PIXMA iP4200.
I'd be very grateful if anybody could tell me where to find
a driver for this printer connected to a USB under WinNT.

Regards,
P

WinNT4.0 does *not* support USB. Ask the manufacturer of the printer
if they provide USB drivers for WinNT; no one else will.

Those do not go together. There are, or at any rate WERE, third party
solutions to get USB working on NT4. You'll have to check.

If your system is upgradeable to win2k, that's the best way to do it.

If you *must*:

These are a big craps shoot.

Thanks for your replies.

Eventually I decided to upgrade to XP. It's not an easy
decision because of other applications.
