First off. I have quite a few IBM Thinkpads. T42.
These machines need to be used with a local medical center. The EKG
machines need to be used off the USB ports, however they are losing
connections once and a while. I have already disabled the power saving
option from the USB Root Hub(s) in the Device Manager. Normally this
would take care of the problem. However when we reboot the laptop
after making the power saving adjustment through the device manager the
system flashes a BSOD, then goes into a reboot cycle. We have to use
Safe Mode and remove the changes to get windows to work again.
I have gotten all the IBM firmware and BIOS updates, Windows Updates,
and the IBM program updates. Nothing is working.
IBM T41 laptops work just fine with this though.
