USB 2 not Compatsable with Mass storage driver

I have a USB2 controlled DVD burner (HP) . I installed a PCMCIA USB 2 card in
my lap top running Windows 2000 SP3.

When I plug the DVD burner into the USB 2.0 port on the PCMCIA card the
computer crashes with the message "Plug and play dettecteded an error most
likely a driver problem"

The DVD driver works fine at USB 1.1 in my computer's built in port or in
at XP laptop at 2.0 on the built in or PCMCIA card

The PCMCIA works fine on all my USB 1.1 devices

To determine what is wrong, you must have a second usb2 device (as you know
works). Plug in this device, and send a lot of tata between your computer
and this device. If it doesn't work, it's most likely the pcmia-card that
fails. And if it works, the DVD-burner may be defect. Make sure the usb
cable support usb2 speed.
