USB 2.0 DRV ver 5.1.2600.2180 or .2730 or .2783 cause 100% cpu use

Problem: Slow Performance PC useage drag.
usb 2 backups using usb harddrives will require performance but very slow.

Tried: New USB 2.0 drivers versions:
5.1.2600.2180
5.1.2600.2730
5.1.2600.2783

and replaced motherboard on Precision Work Station 360 with dual core
processor.

Symptom:
system process in task manager shows 50% cpu useage.
usbport.sys process shows 100% cpu usage on one processor.

Would anyone have any more information on this problem and any awareness of
any newer USB 2.0 Windows XP SP2 drivers that may resolve this problem?

Thier are a few hotfixes for usb hds,try help/support in xp,use the search
engine.One fix is #921619
