usa player, usa dvd-disk yet the following error message:

This player is incompatible with the region marking of this disk. I do not
have a clue. Just bought a dvd-disk from walmart and I got this error
message. Tried some dvd's from my collection and also got the same error. I
have my computer dual boot vista & xp and all the disks works fine on xp. I
am new to vista and my version of vista is 32bit ultimate
 
Hi,

Have you checked the properties of the player in device manager? The region
setting is usually found on the DVD region tab, it may be set to the wrong
country.
