DVD's doesn't open in Vista Ultimate

I have updated my system from XP professional to Vista Ultimate 64bit. Now
I'm having troubles to use dvd's. Some games or movies doesn't work att all,
and some works just fine.

When I open "My Computer" in the dvd-drive it shows only "DVD-RW", and
picture of a disk, and doesn't show the icon of the game or movie as it
usually does. The DVD can be opened but when I open it, it seems to be empty
-> 0bit free space 0 bit used. Autoplay or anything does not work.

On other computer that same dvd works OK.

I have tried to update my dvd players drivers, and they seem to be updated.
I have GIGABYTE GO-W1608A dvd-rw player.

Game that DVD couldn't be read was EA games :Lord of the rings; battle of
middle earth II. Movie that I tried yesterday was 300 (Spartans), and
couldn't be read.

So is the problem on Vista or is it in cooperation between dvd palyer and
vista, because I never had this kind of problems with Windows XP.

When you say can not open, do you mean that the DVD will not autostart? If
so, do the following:

Copy the below information to Notepad:

*******************************************

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoDriveTypeAutoRun"=dword:00000095

*******************************************

Save the file as Autoplay.reg

Go to where you saved the file. Double click to run the file. Accept the
addition to the registry.

Reboot. Put in the Audio CD or Movie DVD and watch it start correctly.
