URL issues

When clicking on a link from an email message, nothing happens.
When I click start Serach for files andd folders, the only thing that
appears is the "DOG". None of the links for "files and folders",....etc show
up.
When going to certain web site to login, the text of the login shows up but
not the space where you type the password, eve if you click in where it is.

Any insight would be very helpful. Thanks,

See if these commands help, from Start/Run:

regsvr32 jscript
regsvr32 vbscript
regsvr32 oleaut32
regsvr32 /i mshtml
regsvr32 /i urlmon

You cannot open a new Internet Explorer window or nothing occurs after you
click a link:
