--urgent--video card freezes/crashes in game

recently, any game i would play would last for about a minute then it would
freeze and i would have to shut comp off with button regardless of video
settings.i did a system diagnostic but there was nothing wrong detected with
it.

it is a Ati Radeon 9200 128mb, and i have recently upgraded the driver.

Help please, would i have to buy another one?

It could be a bad video card, but it could also be just about anything else
that's failing or overheating, like the processor or the power supply. It
could also be a software issue, but I'd bet on hardware.
