Urgent! MS Virtual PC 2004 emulator

When I try installing Windows 98 from the Microsoft Virtual PC 2004
emulator, it begins formatting drive C. This alarmed me greatly, as several
years of work is on the computer. Is it just formatting a virtual disk? Or
is it going to wipe my real one? Thanks in advance.

Hi Astroview

Its a virtual disk ... although it formats and stores the data the space
used is always the free space available on your disk.
