Urgent Help Needed! Can't open a home Burned CD. "Access Denied" Error!!

Hi.
I burned a Data CD on my Win2000 Pro sytem for a friend. I tested the CD
after burning it, and it was fine. Then my friend took it home and tried it
on his Win2000 Pro system but it won't open.
He keeps getting a "Access Denied" error. I did not know that a CD can have
security settings to prevent access on other computers. How do I fix this?
Do I have to burn a new DC and set security
somewhere for it??
Please Help.

Arvis.

Are you sure it wasn't an Access Failure instead of Access Denied?

What burn program are you using? How is your friend accessing the disc,
(File Manager, Direct CD, InCD)?

It was Access Denied! He uses the File Manager (windows explorer). Also he
said that
Access is Denied to the autorun.exe file. He can't get into the CD for a
manual install as well.

I don't think so... There was no reason to protect these files. They should
be available to Everyone.

Hi

If you burnt CD-R, yhe reason is propably you forgot yo
choose also "close cd" Some of the CD-recorders (soecially
older ones) cannot open so called open records. Try to add
a small text file to cd and burn it and remember to
choose "close CD" on yhe table you start burning. Using
home CD-RW recorder you easyly forget closing because you
need not to do that with your recorder.
