Upside down problems

I thought the reason my video clips played upside down in the preview pane
but right side up when I drag them into the timeline was because they weren't
AVI? I checked and all the videos I have imported into WMM are AVI. I
thought WMM liked AVI? The clips are all rightside up in the Collections
section. My WMM is working fine except for this frustrating glich.

Is there any thing I can do to turn the ones I have imported right side up
and to prevent future imports from being upside down?

This happens if there are conflicting codecs installed for the AVI file. Be
cautious when installing codec packs as these can mess up your system for
video editing. Do you have installed any such packs?

FInd out which codecs are used for the AVI file that exhibits this problem
by using GSpot utility:

Thanks for the post.

I only have the K - Lite package that was recommended. The strange thing is
that this only happens with stuff from one place. Every other place is fine.

Still looking for help with my problem.
