Upon Reboot, Defender detects Adobe Acrobat Speed Launcher

Every time I reboot, Windows Defender (Beta 2) presents any "unknown"
components found within the startup sequence. Adobe Acrobat Speed
Launcher.Ink is a known program and should be automatically allowd. How can
I have Defender automatically allow this program. I tire of manually
allowing it. Plus, on auto reboot sequences, this prevents reboot from
completing before it is approved.

I haven't seen this, and have lots of systems with that app installed. Is
this for Reader? Are you on 7.0.8? Sometimes a detection of this kind is
resolved by updating to the current version.

Bill, thank you. I assumed that my 7.0.8 version was correct, however per your post reply, I did another update. It took. I then rebooted. It appears to have resolved the problem. Merci

I am not sure exactly what you mean by update (e.g., check for updates and
then install 7.0.8). However, I would suggest uninstalling via add/remove
programs Adobe Reader and then running Ccleaner (ccleaner.com) - make sure
you uncheck the Yahoo toolbar box when you install Ccleaner - click the
Issues icon and then fix issues (may have to do it twice) until no problems
found. Go to the Adobe site and install Adobe Reader (which will be at the
7.0.8 level) and make sure to uncheck the Yahoo toolbar option on the web
page before clicking download. It is possilble that Windows Defender may
give you a warning the first time, but subsequent re-boots should give you no
warning.

Sandra:
Use this tiny free program to monitor your starting programs. Remember all
programs will want to start at bootup, making the process time consuming.
Your Adobe don't have to be at bootup. Necessary programs for example are
your Logitech mouse (if you use one), Defender, and WLOC. Other startup
programs are controlled by Windows with the Administrative Services. Use the
StartUp program I include to enable and disable any program you like (never
ever delete any). StartUp Run is very safe, and so good it has not needed
updates for years now. Play with the program and you will see that if you
allow one program , Defender will inmediately popup to ask authorization for
the same. The oposite is also true. I have used this program for more than 3
years without the slightest problem.

Hi Mr Cat:
Thanks. I tried Startup Delayer 2.2.85. It's a nice program for setting
specific time intervals to boot programs, but I will keep my Startup Run 1.22
because I just want to disable unnecessary the programs from starting. I keep
only Defender, OneCare, Logitech 1000 mouse and Windows ctfmon, all others
are disabled, but I look into them every other month for any updates.
Remember many, if not all programs, will try to be on the bootup marching
band, just to be able to automatically update when there is one available to
download. A waste of time.
Thanks anyway.
