upon opening my windows mail

I get this message every time I ope my windows mail program...

Account: 'AJ', Server: 'pop.acersalesandservice.net', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR Invalid command.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

here is the thing, I am able to send emails from windows mail, but not able
to recieve it. thie pop address is correct, i have checked and checked.

Any info would be great,

Unless you work for Acer sales and service, your server name is not correct.

Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers.
Uncheck the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."
