Windows XP Firewall is replaced by the firewall provided in a "Windows Live
One Care" subscription.

How ironic! one MS tool (the connecticty ela. tool) gripes about upnp being
turned off, while another MS product has turned it off(one care), I find
some humor in that. If you are an average home user belive me you don't need
to turn on upnp, you most likely won't need it and the firewall was right in
turnning it off. Read some info at the link below.
I read the page at that link, and then remembered Computer Management on
the Administrative Tools menu in Win XP which allows you to select
Services, then stop the unpnp service without downloading their little
utility program.
Just thought you might like to know.
