uploading to a ftp instead of http

We've had to switch from ISP, so check that the new ISP
supported frontpage server extensions.

All went OK until I had to upload our new website to the
new server. I made a form and added a hit counter, so not
that big issues. When I tried to upload, FP2002 gave the
messsage that there are no Frontpage extensions or
Sharepoint Team services installed.

My ISP reinstalled the extensions but no succes.

The only thing thats different compare to our old ISP is
that I now have to upload to ftp.domainname.nl instead of
http://www.domainname.nl.

Has anybody an idea??

If you published to ftp:// you have broken the FrontPage
Extensions. Have your host repair or reinstall them.

Secondly, has your new location propagated to the Domain
Name Servers?? If not you can't publish to http://yourdomain.com
until it has. It usually takes 48 to 72 hours.

As long as you are uploading to a ftp server, then you are bypassing the FP
extensions, so none of the FP component that require the run-time extensions
will work. To actually use the extensions, you must publish via http and
your new host doesn't have a clue on how the FP extensions work, if this is
the required method for uploading your web content.

Just because they support the FP SE doesn't mean that they applied the FP SE to your site
Have them install and reapply the FP SE to you site and try publishing again using File Publish
