uploading scanned images on website with FrontPage 2000

georgia

I originally scanned images and saved them under MY WEBS
and could not upload them on the internet.

I later deleted those images and re-scanned ONE image and
saved it again but this time the SAVE EMBEDDED FILES
dialog box appeared and I CHANGED THE FOLDER to IMAGES.

I still have trouble uploading it to my webpage with WS
FTP PRO. Once I try to upload it and look at the little
RED x where the picture is supposed to be, I still see
the old name of the picture even though I have deleted
that image. How come I can't see the new name of the
image.

Thanks for your help.

You need to import the images into your
web, with the web open in FrontPage,
not the My webs folder. My Webs
is not a part of your web site.

Since you did not elaborate your issue I will assumed that
you save your scanned image in a default extension
provided by your scanner software and also I assumed that
this is your first time to do it cause no one will try to
publish an image from original size that came from scanned
image unless you made some editing which you did not
mentioned.
Follow this instructions and this will work fine:
export your image from scanner to My Picture. bring out
your photo editing tools and import the image from my
picture and you will see a humongous image which you do
not want to publish, from there work it out make the image
smaller and save it to internet acceptable extension.
Hope this works for you.
try to visit javitusa.com to see the sizes of the image
how small it is.
Good Luck
