Uploading Hi8 format video

I have a recoring of one of my seminars on Hi8 tape format. Is it possible to upload this to my computer for editing, etc.?
 
You can burn it to a dvd. Just hook up your camcorder, transfer it to the hard drive, then burn a dvd. Use the movie maker 2
