Upload files from submission page to folder

Hello all,

I have a small recruitment agency and as such, I am trying to create a file
upload button on my submission page (this will allow candidates to send
upload amended resumes), but when I created the file upload button (on the
submission page) and a new folder (in the website), I did not receive a
confirmation page, database didn't upload and the resume did not appear in
the new folder. Is there a way around this?
