I need to know how to load one Windows XP Pro to both my
Laptop and PC as an upgrade... I am trying to network the
two and I need the same system on each...
Currently my PC is Windows 2000 PRo
Laptop is Windows ME
Help.. I don't want to open or load to know if I can do
this.. No information on box, instructions.. I spend 25
minutes on hold with tech.. never talked to anyone..

You need to purchase a copy of the upgrade for each computer. You
can't use a single upgrade copy to upgrade both.

All versions of Windows, including ME and 2000 Pro, can network with
each other. You don't need to upgrade either of them to XP Pro in
order to network them.

Note - you don't need the same OS on each computer to just network them -
and you will need to buy another copy of/license for WinXP Pro Upgrade to do
an upgrade on both. You can't use one copy for both computers.

Can your hardware on the ME laptop support WinXP?
