Hey buddie i wud recommend a complete reinstall and clean
one .. becoze u cannot upgrade from home to Pro or home
to 2003 or home to 2003 becoz they are all diff versions
of the same OS.

Plz feel free to revert in case the solution doesnt
work ..

Bad advice, you can always go back and do a clean install if an upgrade
doesn't work (and it's rare that it doesn't). You can't do it the other way
around. Why give up everything you have to upgrade the operating system?

That is about as confusing as any statement can be.

- The poster did not ask anything about Win2003, which is a server version
and has nothing to do with this thread.
- Server 2003 and WindowsXP are not the same operating system.
- You CAN upgrade from WinXP Home to WinXP Pro with the upgrade disk.

Please get your facts straight.
