Upgrading VB .net apps to VB .Net 2005

I have some rather large programs written in VB .net. I've been trying to
find some information as to if they need to be upgraded to VB .net 2005 and
how that would be done.

I've been looking on the MS web site, there is some information on upgrading
Visual Basic (not .net) to 2005 but not VB .net.

Thank you in advance.

Define 'need'. Nothing needs to be upgraded. If you still have the 1.1
framework, you can keep running your software.

As far as upgrading, open up the project to be upgraded in 2005, which will
launch the upgrade wizard and do the conversion.

Kyle,

Moving to Visual Studio 2005 will not improve performance or automatically
add new features. There is also a bit of a learning curve.

If you are continuing to develop this project and if someone will pay for
the upgrade, then it might be worth it.
