Upgrading Processor and Windows 2000

if I upgrade the microprocessor on my windows 2000 computer, will I have to
re-activate? Will I get locked out of my computer?

Best to be prepared by reading the articles that Dave gave you, but if
you only change the CPU for a faster one, and nothing else you can
probably get away with it. It shouldn't be much different than adding a
second or HT processor. It didn't bother the old NT's that much so I
would suspect that it wouldn't bother Windows 2000 all that much. But,
anything can happen...
