This is a bit like saying "I have a 2002 Chrysler car, can I have a 2004 one
for nothing, or do I have to pay for it?"
Even though the software fits on a little bit of plastic, it doesn't mean
that that nice Mr. Gates and his multiple minions didn't have to work long
and hard to write it.
So yes, you have to purchase an 'upgrade' licence.
