Hi there,
I wish to replace my 40GB Seagate HDD with a 120 GB HDD.
The operating system that Iam currently using is XP Pro.
1) Is there a way I can transfer everything (copy) from
my existing HDD to the new one, without having to re-
install Windows XP?
2) Will I need to reactivate Windows XP in that case?
3) In the vent I reinstall Windows XP in a new HDD will I
have any problems in reactivation? What information
should i provide the MIcrosoft Assistance team.
Would appreciate prompt assistance in this matter
Thanks

The new hard drive should come with a utilities program that will enable you
to copy the entire contents of the old drive to the new one.

To answer;

1) Try a program like Norton Ghost.

2) No.

3) No. For a single HDD swap you probably won't have to re-activate. Windows
needs alot more changes before it believes it's on a "new" machine.
