Upgrading from Access 2003 to Access 2007

I've just this moment discovered Access 2007 on the internet. Is Access 2007
available to buy? also does 2007 come with a runtime version? i currently
deploy acccess2003 databases with a runtime versions for users without access
installed on their PC's.

No, Access 2007 is not available to buy, it is still in Beta. I don't think
there has been any official announcement about the runtime yet. I'm sure
there will be one, but as far as I am aware no details have been released
yet as to exactly what will be included in the developer tools or how they
will be made available. This is not unusual. If the pattern of the last two
versions is followed, information about the developer tools won't be
available until closer to release date.

Access 2007 is currently still in Beta. It'll probably be released for sale
in January of 2007.

Historically, the run-time version has always been released after the
regular version has been released. I would expect this pattern to continue
for Access 2007.

Don't deploy on Access 2007 until it has been ridden of all of its bugs.

Don't punish your users by using a slower version just for the sheer hell of
it.

If you are not using anything that is new in 2007 why waste you and your
users time with it?
