Upgrading from 2000 to XP Home

I just installed Windows 2000 Pro, and when I pop in my xp
home upgrade CD, it says this version of windows cannot be
upgraded...please help.

That upgrade path is not possible. To get from W2k to XPHome you must do
a clean install of the latter. To do a clean install using an XPHome
upgrade CD it may suffice to have an upgrade-eligible CD handy to insert
at the right time during the XPHome install, but I'm not sure about
this. Haven't done it. If you find it's possible, you might consider a
dual-boot of W2k and XPHome. Check the XPHome packaging (or the MS
website) to see which earlier systems are eligible for upgrade.
