upgraded XP from ME..no sound

I upgraded form ME to XP. Everything appeared to load
and work normally. when all was done, i have no sound
and can not figure out why not???? any sugestions????
 
Because you did not install the XP compatible sound drivers. Get them from
the sound card manufacturer.
