Upgraded video drivers, now new device found?

Rich

Hi,
I upgraded my ati video drivers successfully but now when
i boot the new hardware found keeps running and cannot
determine what device it thinks it found.
Tried uninstalling the new device and it comes back
when i reboot.
Tried system restore and that will not clear it up.

Is my only fix to uninstall the video drivers and start
from scratch?

Thank's
Rich

I would try this. Use the Rollback feature to reinstall the old
driver. Contact ATI for if this is a common issue.
If you do not need the enhanced features of the ATI drivers and if
there are no problems with using the old drivers, there is no need to
update the drivers at all, BTW.

Make sure you are also installing the video capture drivers. When you
install the new drivers Windows is then detecting the video capture
part of the card and needs the video capture drivers for it.
