Upgraded to XP - Standby no longer available

Upgraded my old Compaq Presario 5220 from 98 to XP in
order to get a Belking USB wireless adapter and it works
like a charm. The only problem is that power Standby is
no longer an option (grayed out) and I need it back for
my kids. I've checked Enable Advanced Power Management,
disabled Fast User Switching, and run the APMSTAT utility
which shows that the system is APM compliant. Any other
suggestions?

Thanks

Most probably one of your device drivers is not windows Xp or windows
2000 compliant. If you have any add-in cards check the manufacturers
site for an updated driver.
