upgraded to XP and lost CD drivers

I have tried to install new CD software, but still can't
get my computer to recognize the drive. Any
suggestions? Original CD software was Roxio.

Probably because your version of Roxio was not compatible with XP..... check
for updates if it's version 5 or later at www.roxio.com

Version 4 and below will NOT work with XP and will have to be removed.

If was CD drive was working fine prior to the XP upgrade,

Check out:

"CD-ROM Drive or DVD-ROM Drive Missing After You Install Windows XP"

Download and run the patch available at the following web site:

http://www.tinyurl.com/1q0y

The name of the file is xp_cd_dvd_fix.vbs. Ignore any errors about scripts.
