My grandma had a non genuine version of windows XP SP1 on her laptop. In
August 2006 she purchased a genuine SP2 but a mistake by the courier service
ment the disks were never delivered. She downloaded SP2 but never installed
it, being 80 she thought it would do it itself!! I tried to instal but the
code key sent to her by MS will now no longer work. I will contact them on
Monday but any help before then would be gratefully appreciated.
Many Thanks

You must re-install the genuine XP SP2 onto the laptop in order for
the new genuine CD key to work. Everytime XP is installed, the CD
activation code changes.
