when I open web from my local host OR even look at the dialogue box from the
network places - nothing is in alphabetical order anymore??? all the
websites are mixed up and I have to search for the site I want instead of
just looking at them in order .... any help? how can I fix this?

running fp2003 on xppro

This is psychic, but give it a try:

1. Start regedit.exe
2. Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\
Web Server Extensions\Web Extender Client
3. Look for a value named wecctlflags
4. If you find it, either delete it or set it to zero.

This normally resolves the message
Cannot open DLL "stsnwi.dll"
but in my case, it also solved the problem of Web sites
appearing in random order.

mmm ok, I did what you suggest, but under WSE - there is NO Web Extender
Client - only 4.0, 5.0 All Ports, Ports, Secure, Setup Packages, Setup
Packages OSE and SQLInstalledByOWS

am I missing the Web Extender client??

No, it's something else, then.

In the Open Site dialog box, try right-clicking the list of sites,
then choosing Arrange Icons By and then Name.
