I recently upgraded from XP Home to XP Pro and I want to
go back to XP Home. My computer came preloaded with XP
Home so I have no disk for it. Plus I lost the XP Pro
disk. So is there an answer? Or am I just out of luck.

Why do you want to go back to Home edition? the two are EXACTLY the same
apart from some security enhancements and the ability to join a domain
in Pro.

The supplier must have provided *some* means of restoring the machine to
ex-factory state, so use it (see the manual)

You're either out of luck or not, depending on how you want to
look at it.

You can not go back to XP Home, other than by starting from
scratch and reinstalling it (losing everything else on the
drive). If you're willing to start from scratch, check with your
vendor, who should be able to tell you how to do this.

But more important, *why* do you want to do this. There is
absolutely *nothing* in Home that is not also in Professional,
and no possible benefit to doing what you want.
