Upgraded from Win98 to Win2K Pro - won't restart

Whenever I need to restart, I get stuck on the light blue
screen (right before it installs programs). I then have to
shutdown to reboot. Help/advise would be greatly

Diane,

You might consider booting from your Windows 2000 CD to
launch Windows setup. Setup will search your hard drive
and detect an existing Windows 2000 installation. Setup
will ask you whether you want to repair it. Accept that
option. Do not go into the Recovery Console, but allow
setup to repair the install (Just follow the instruction
on the screen).
