Kathy

I upgratded from ME to XP. everything was fine. AT&T sold
out to comcast. used there wizard to update email
automatically.
Note: when Mediaone switched to AT&T. There was no
problem.
Now I getting email is hit and miss. Getting an time out
on the connection. It is not connection. to
mail.comcast.net. I deleted outlook express and
reinstalled. That did not fix the problem.
So I am guessing there is a setting that has not been
changed to comcast.net. That the wizard did not change.
Any ideas on what I need to change? Where to change it?

ok sounds like I am going to have to uninstall xp change
the email address and re install. I went through the step
by step set up from comcast when I reinstalled outlook
express. thx

That's overkill, Kathy. Make certain your Comcast account settings are
exactly as shown on this page:

Your current OE Identity may be damaged. Create a new Named Identity
(File>Indentities>Add new identity) and set up the Comcast account in it.
If all is well, import messages from the old Identity
(http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/faqs/how.htm#importOE5) before deleting it
(File>Identities>Manage Identities).
