Upgrade XP Home to XP Pro

I know the upgrade will just be an inplace install.
However, is there a "software" path, i.e. just buy XP Pro
upgrade? or is there a special product for XP Home to Pro
upgrade?

Please help, and any personal experiences would be useful.

Purchase the conventional "retail upgrade version" of XP Pro
and select the default "Upgrade" option during setup.
