Upgrade: XP Home --> Pro

I want to upgrade from XP Home to XP Pro. I can get a free XP Pro disc (not
the upgrade version) from the MDSN Alliance. Can I use this cd to upgrade? (I
want to keep the files and programs on the computer w/out having to reistall
all of them.) Is it possible? Thanks.

It should update fine.
But you will also need the Product Key assigned to it.

Also, MSDN is licensed for testing and development use only and can not be
used for production computers.
