Upgrade Win Media Center to XP Pro

Hello,

I need to upgrade a media center pc to XP pro (i need terminal
services/remote desktop), I have tried running an upgrade from the disk
(XPPRO-XP2 ) but I still get a media center windows when its done. It did
prompt me for XP Pro CD2(which doesn't exist) and was looking for the media
center components, which it didn't find, I simply skipped all the files I
didn't have (execpt for the first .inf file it wanted, which I loaded from
the old windows/inf/ folder - maybe I should skip that next time.)

Is it possible to keep the settings of the pc and upgrade to pro? What
procedure needs to be followed?
