Upgrade W98SE To XP-DOS Programs

Question:

I'm running Windows98SE on my office systems and
considering an upgrade to either the XP Pro or XP Home
edition. In my work I use a DOS scheduling program due to
its speed as compared to it Windows version which I use to
prepare project graphics. Will Windows XP support DOS
programs that currently run well in my Windows98SE?

My primary system is a Gateway PII/450Mhz having a 16G
hard drive and 192Mb ram. No networking involved.

All responses appreciated.

Hi Ralph,

Most dos programs run well in the XP dos emulator as long as they do not
require/use any direct hardware access. The only way to really tell is to
try it.

Maybe, maybe not. The only way to know for sure is to try it out.
