I'm about replace my Windows Me with an upgrade to XP. The
XP upgrade advisors notes that my Norton 2000/2001 software
(AntiVirus, SystemWorks & Norton Utilities) will need to be
replaced with current versions.

Can the three products above be purchased as a single
package from Norton? No experience with this, and so many
Norton products available.

Any advice? Thanks.

You should consider norton internet security package if
you will be online. has a good firewall/av/popup blocker
and more.

Remove ALL Norton products from your WinME system BEFORE you do the upgrade.
Also, any other program that the upgrade advisor flags!

Then, after the upgrade, install Windows XP compatible products. Norton
SystemWorks 2003 and 2004 are totally compatible. Don't install Clean Sweep
though. Use a custom installation and unselect it. Then continue.

Thanks, guys.

I guess my follow up is, is there one package that contains
both SystemWorks (Norton AV, Utilities) and Internet
Security? If not, I'll invest in both.

Thanks again.

Could be they have improved it then. I have tried 3-4 different versions
over the years and have had nothing but problems with it. Also, a great
resource drain for all the monitors that it has running.

I have been using CleanSweep since it first came out under the Quarterdeck
banner. I have never seen a resource drain nor a hang problem with it.
However, I do believe that Symantec tried to create a "crash" logging system
(CrashGuard) and that did wreak havoc with the systems I seen it installed
on.
