upgrade to xp pro from xp home gone bad!

Hello All,

New HP a1400e with xp home, got xp pro upgrade cd, durring the setup portion
xp goes into a stop code right at the start with a 7e error message!! Any
ideas???? it won't record a boot log, all drivers should be good as it runs
the home edition fine, no new software has been added, or hardware.

Sure, you can. The only way an OEM license affects an upgrade is that
an OEM CD cannot be used to perform an upgrade.
