upgrade to Windows XP, no sound now

I upgraded from windows ME to XP last night, I got all
the hardware and associated drivers working except the
sound card. I reloaded the driver etc. it is a SB Live!
card. Any thoughts( I checked all the appropriate menus
to make sure mute was not on etc.)
 
Did you check the "Device Manager"... Right click on "My Computer"... Select
"Manage"... and then select "Device Manager" in the tree on the left... on
the right should be the status of your current driver situation...
 
yep, did that too, deleted the device, reinstalled the
latest drivers from creative etc.

hmmm
