Not used QP and am obviously familiar with Excel so I like it. If you get
Excel you will be compatible with most of the world and also with Word
If you are looking to save cash, you will lose little if you can pick up
Excel 2003. If you go for the brand new version it is XL2007 but the file
format has changed and whilst there are many features to recommend it
without saving it to an earlier version, or anyone else having the
compatibility pack installed on their machine they won't be able to open
them.
You might want to look at Office, although you already have Word as this is
often cheaper than any of the stand alone applications.
