Hi,

In my office one of the computer has Office 2007 Home and Student Version
installed. The operating system is Windows Media Center 2007. On other
computer in my office I have Office 2003 Professional Edition on Windows XP
Professional Edition installed. These two differences arised is due to the XP
Professional Edition computer is on network and the other is stand alone
connected to Process Equipment which monitors Plant Operations ans stores the
data every ten seconds real time.

Now the problem arised when the excel document which is created in 2007, I
could not open in 2003 version even though I saved the file in 97-2003 format
from excel 2007. Can you please tell me why this is happening. And also I
cannot see the charts which I created on excel 2007?

Please let me know why this is happening?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It is not even opening in excel 2007 at my home. At home I have Office XP
Professional installed on Media Center Edition. I had even updated to Office
XP Service Pack 3 and installed file converting formats. It was saying it
cannot read the file when I said open and repair and extract the data from it.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like your file got corrupted or something, did you save it directly
on a
USB drive or something because if you did that's probably the reason. If you
want to transfer
a file, save a copy on the HD and then transfer to the removable media.

If it still works at the office just try again. There shouldn't be anything
that prevents
it from working on multiple computers.

Yes,

I did saved the file on hard disk. Then only I transferred the file to
removable media. I checked the same file at my office on another computer. It
has excel 2003 as explained before. At home I have office xp professional
with all updates, service packs (SP3) and file formats converters installed.
When I tried to open excel 2007 document directly in excel 2002 with updates
installed, it is saying unable ot read. But the same file in the office 2007,
it is running. I could not understand the problem.

Thanks
