I recently updated both my desktop and my laptop (an HP zx5078cl) to Windows XP Professional from Windows XP Home. I upgraded the desktop first, and it was unable to recognize the wireless signal from the router on my older system. I think I unplugged the adapter and then plugged it back in to get it working again... all I know is that it works now. The laptop is having the same problem, only I can't seem to fix it. When I open the window to select a network to connect to, everything is in grey, except for the "Cancel" button. I've tried to boot up the computer with the wireless card deactivated and activated. Either way, I can't get a signal. I'm considering just rolling back to XP Home. Any ideas on how to fix it within XP Pro?
