Upgrade to outlook 2007 won't start at all

Everything else works in the Office upgrade, but Outlook won't start. It gets
hung up saying Migrating Account settings and never starts. I don't have any
access to my old mail either.

I tried to get MS e-mail support, but I can't because I can't start the
program and put in my product code.

Please Help :-(

Its the same product code as shown in your other office2007 components

Try creating a new profile, via the mail applet

Should mention that I am using XP but I did find the instructions for adding
a new profile and followed them. Still won't start. Still gets hung up on
migrating new data - even in safe mode.

So you added a new Profile, new data File, the Accounts & set it to Prompt
for Profile and it still wont open?

Safe; was that outlook safe mode or windows safe mode?

I don't know what happened, I decided to give up so I copied my pst file to
a laptop and got my mail that way. When I went back to my desktop, Outlook
had started after having been frozen for several hours. Now it starts every
time.

Thank you for trying to help. Obviously something you recommended worked.

In searching for a solution to my own apparently locked Outlook 2007 install
I was brought to this thread. The difference was I was migrating settings
from one machine to another. The first run of Outlook 2007 appeared to be
locked for upwards of an hour "Configuring Accounts", I just came back from
lunch and Outlook was finally loaded. Don't let windows fool you, if it says
"Not Responding", have a look at the OUTLOOK.EXE thread in Task Manager and
watch for a moment for the memory usage to move, if it does, it is somewhat
safe to say that Outlook is not locked but is working quietly on something,
be patient.

If you are saying OL is still unusable, try creating a new Profile - do not
copy the old profile -
