I have just upgraded my Office 2000 to Office XP which contains Outlook
2002. It gives me the following message:

UNABLE TO OPEN YOUR DEFAULT E-MAIL FOLDER. THE .DLL FILE FOR THE INFORMATION
SERVICE COULD NOT BE FOUND. MAPI WAS UNABLE TO LOAD THE INFORMATION SERVICE
"PSTPRX.DLL". BE SURE THE SERVICE IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED & CONFIGURED.!!?

I am at a loss as to why this DLL was not installed properly from the CD,
and what caused the service to be bypassed and/or installed correctly? Do I
need to update this product as well from Microsoft? Thanks in advance Tom

Hello Tom,

maybe this site helps:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;de;D293058

Thanks Oliver, but this page is in German, which I don't understand. Maybe
there is an English version somewhere?

Hello Tom,

sorry i thought this site will be shown in english.

I think this site will solve the problem:
http://mmmservices.web.cern.ch/mmmservices/Faq/contents/0_0_pstprx.asp

I have found also following pages (in english):
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:
80/support/kb/articles/Q293/0/58.ASP&NoWebContent=1

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;311573

Thanks again, Oliver. After my first cup of coffee, I noticed the knowledge
based ID contains in your suggested URL address, so I just used that and
went to the MS Ol 2002 support help page. It returned it to me in English
format. This article states that I should 'DL' the latest Office XP Service
Pack. I'll try this when I get home this evening. Thanks again for all of
your help....Tom J.
