Upgrade to IE 7 without Genuine Advantage? Or, possibly use Firefox?

I currently use IE 6 and would like to upgrade. Will Microsoft allow
me to upgrade to IE 7 without (spyware) Genuine Advantage? Or, would
it be better to dump IE and switch to Firefox? If anyone can give me
a link comparing these two browsers I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

There is no spyware in Internet Explorer 7. It is just a genuine check.

Most knowledgeable computer writers and reviewers recommend Firefox

As far as upgrading to IE7 without WGA, that's not going to happen
unless you run a hack to prevent WGA. As for a link comparing one to
the other, do a Google search. Should come up with lots of hits.
